I am working on a branding of my name and my work as a photographer. I have created a new logo and type name for myself...and here it is. Let me know what you think.

So, a new semester at AAU and I am currently doing a still life class where I can do somework without the detailed planning necessary for full-on production fashion shoots. No MUA or wardrobe stylists, models or location scouting involved, just me, my Hasselblad and my studio (temporary as it is, still waiting for construction to start on my real one). I have already completed a couple of images as you can see here.

On an art note, I am a
lso in studies where I get to look at my own
work with the insight of readings and theories of Nietzsche and F
oucault. Interesting stuff.

Africa and Europe in 6 Weeks

The summer travels to Cape Town, Paris and Massa Marittima have been exhausting, but definitely worth the time. Vacation with great white sharks and cheetahs followed by a week in Paris spending time with friends...FANTASTIC!!

Coming home for only 3 weeks and I was off to Italy to meet up with Amedeo Turello for some outstanding mentoring on fashion photography and styling direction.

I am currently working on re-vamping my website, so keep an eye on it to see some changes in presentation. Love fashion storytelling.

The Studio Planning

I've moved. The new home is big...it has room... and the studio will be built next door. I have plans for a 25'x35'x16' single room space for my indoor work and sets. The trick is to make this a place where I can create my fashion works and increase my revenue off catalog or book work.

Currently I am thinking up a list of details for the infinity wall and the available natural light. I plan on having Broncolor and Profoto strobes and a few HMI's for effect lighting. modifiers, scrims, flags and various other components to affect and control the light are also at the fore of my thoughts.

Shooting medium format digital means I will have a full 30" screen tethered Mac Pro setup available. I am planning on an area for make-up and hair as well as a styling area.

More later...
